All about me
Me and my Website
My name is MarsRed, I am a german software developer and this is my website, to talk a bit
about
myself and things I like.
Back then it was a common thing for people to have an own website, but nowadays where big
companies
and social media are dictating the Web, it became less and less common.
With this website, I try to change that a bit - also this way I can express my creativity
much
better and don't need to depend much on big companies and their weird algorithms.
What I did
Primarily I am a web- and a game developer.
I was a
trainee
for software development for 3 years and have already worked as front-end web developer and
fullstack developer.
The current date
This year I also have started enrolling at a university for a
Bachelor of Arts
in gamedesign and
I
plan to found my own Indi-game development company in the
future
too.
So if you are interested in small games, visual novels and other interesting stuff, stay
tuned.

My Hobbies
Besides software development, I am also interested in a lot of other works in a creative
area:
- I write stories and poems
- I like to draw and paint
- Sometimes I handcraft things
- Sometimes I build models (tanks, warships and stuff)
- I am a gamer
- I am an Anime and Manga fan
- I like to code or mod games
- I like building websites
- I am interested in European history
- and the Japanese history and culture as well
Haven't been in other countries a lot for now, but I plan to travel to Japan too, if I
finally
have
the money.
Why MarsRed?
My old Name
When I was a child, must be around the year 2014 or something, I invented a character and a
name
for it and later on started to use that name on the internet and as my username in
games.
And as a child and young adult I put a lot of stuff out there on the internet, that I am not
fond
of anymore, imagine that!
So it was time to rebrand myself and create a new nickname for me to stick with.
The birth of MarsRed
At this time I was playing PokeMMO
with
the Platin ROM together with a
friend of mine and became a bit of a fan of Mars from Team
Galactic.
But since this name was used a lot on the web, not only as homage to galactic Mars, but also
as
name of the Planet or
Roman God, I
decided to add a little extra: The color Red.
Colors and the other MarsRed
That was not necessary my favorite color - Purple and Orange where more interesting colors
back
then - but I thought Red would be a fitting addition.
Actually, there is a Anime out there as well, that is called Mars Red.
Could be, that that Anime was unconsciously an inspiration as well, but not an intended
one.
Conclusion
So now I am MarsRed and hope to stick with that name some more years.
And since you often need an @name-identifier on some websites and social-media as well, I
often
use
@GalacticCommanderMars or similar there.
Regarding This Website
My current Plans
Not much to say for now, I started building it and are planning to improve it now and
then.
Also, I want to add more content over time, so stay tuned.
About Bugs and Browsers
Regarding Bugs: This website was built primarily for the Firefox browser
and
also tested on Chrome.
I try to make the website work on all browsers, but sometimes there are still some issues,
so if
they occur, try to switch to the Firefox browser instead.
Currently, all other Browsers, that don't use the Gecko or Webkit engine might not work
well.
Also, while I try to develop mobile-first, there could be the possibility of bugs within
mobile-devices, so you might want to use a PC
instead.
Domain Names
I have paid way too much money for domain names, hosting, protection and stuff.
All of my registered domains should redirect you to marsred22.com, make sure this is the
address
you see, any other similar sides, that don't immediately lead here, are not mine and are
probably a scam. (Don't know why someone would try to scam you with my webpage
though...)
